Jasper ran a hand through his hair and made his way through the front door of the house. He had just finished hunting and wanted to just sit and relax now. By the looks and sounds of it, no one was home. They were probably all out back or off hunting. Either way, he didn't mind. He wanted to have some time to himself and it was hard to get that with everyone always home. There was always something going on in the Cullen house. It was nice to just get a small break from everything and to be by himself. Shaking the thought from his head, Jasper moved into his room and let the door close behind him.
Walking over to his stereo, he turned it on quietly and then went and took a seat in the chair by his desk. Crossing his arms over his chest, he closed his eyes and just let his thoughts run through his head. He was deep in thought until he heard someone making their way upstairs. He sighed and opened his eyes, looking towards the door and then just went back to relaxing. Whoever it was, they could come and find them if they needed him. With that, Jasper closed his eyes and went back to just relaxing.

The hunting trip was a family affair today, but as any other family hunting trip, not everyone stayed together. When Alice was done she figured that Jasper had gone back home. The others wanted to keep going, taking their time, enjoying themselves. Alice had finished her hunting and thus went back home. It was much too easy to pick up her husband's scent the closer she got to home. She followed it upstairs to their room. It came to no surprise to her that that's where he was.
Soft sounds of music came from the room. Alice gently opened the door to find him sitting at his desk. She grinned lightly; he seemed so peaceful, she didn't want to bother him... then again, she probably had, she was in the room already. Still, Alice tried. She glided across the room and sat in the arm chair near his desk. She didn't speek, she was happy sitting the quietly, swaying lightly to the music.

Jasper knew that the rest of the family enjoyed their time out hunting and usually spent a good long time out there. He didn't care much for it. He didn't care for the taste of animal blood really. Not just that though, he didn't fully trust himself when he was off by himself. Even in the woods, there were humans sometimes around either hunting or camping or just out on a hike for the day. Jasper pushed those thoughts from his head after a moment or two and continued to just sit there and relax. The moment he heard the bedroom door opened he knew that it was Alice and he couldn't help but smile a little.
For several minutes he just sat there with his eyes closed and listened to the music. Not saying anything as she walked in and sat down in one of the other chairs. Opening his eyes, he looked over at her and just smiled. She was so amazing. She always knew how to make him feel better and just what to say. She knew what he liked and didn't like. Alice was just.....amazing. How was the hunt? He asked after a while. Wondering if she had gotten enough or enjoyed herself. Sitting up in his chair a little, he motioned for her to come and sit on his lap. He figured that he had time to be with Alice while the rest continued to hunt. At least a good hour or two. He hoped. He enjoyed being alone with her.

It was considerably relaxing to just sit and sway lightly with the melody of the song even when the tempo was a little quicker. The serene atmosphere was not bothering either of them but it had to end at some point. Now and then, Alice found herself glancing at Jasper, only to find him still resting peacefully, his eyes closed. It was fine, she was glad he was so much at ease. After a few minutes, when her eyes looked his way once again, she found him staring back at her, smiling. A smile if her own spread across her face. A small grin that held much more than it seemed. "How was the hunt?" Jasper asked her. Alice's petite grin grew a little bit before she replied: "It went well. Though I hardly needed it; I went hunting two days ago." She shrugged with her positive attitude -- she was in far too much of a good mood to be otherwise.
When Jazz motioned her to come sit on his lap, Alice smiled fully and bounded off the armchair. She reached him in less than a step and sat down upon his lap, resting herself lightly into his chest. Alice loved times like these, just the two of them. It was hard to be alone because of the large number of people in the house. Sometimes she wished things could go back to way she and Jasper lived before they joined the Cullens.
"How was your hunt?" Alice asked in return, curious about how he had done and how he handled things.
