He is a tall, yet lean vampire who is slightly muscular. He has the pale skin just like any vampire. The only thing that is different is the color of his eyes because he drinks from animals and not from humans. His beautiful eyes change color depending on how thirsty he is or not. Another thing about his skin is that it is very cold. It would be odd to a human. He stands a 6'3 and has a sandy-golden hair color. Crescent shaped scars cover his body from when he would train and fight new born vampires. They are almost invisible unless looking at in a very bright light.

Jasper was a major in the Confederate Army until one night when Maria turned him into a vampire. When he became a vampire, he gained the ability to feel and manipulate peoples emotions. He commanded a newborn army with Maria that participated in the Southern Vampire Wars. He befriended a vampire named Peter, a newborn, who ran off with Charlotte, another newborn. He had decided to just let them both go. Peter came back with Charlotte after a few years and told Jaser about how vampires could coexist in the North and so Jasper left with them. He stayed with them for a few years and then left, meeting Alice in a diner. The two of them left and with her 'sight' looked for Carlisle and his family.
She tells him about the ability to survive off of animal blood. He didn't know that such a thing could exist but he followered her anyways. When he became a member of the Cullen Family, he attended High School and changed his last name from Whitlock to Hale. His Adoptive sisters sirname and poses as her twin because of their physical similarities. Out of all of the Cullens, he has the hardest time being around humans, due to his upbringing when he was a newborn vampire. Jasper was never taught how to control or how to regulate his blood lust.
