Edward made his way through the quiet woods towards the meadow, for once he was glad to be away from the house. He loved his family dearly, but things had been going from bad to worse and everything in-between of late. He knew more than ever he was edging closer to lack of control, and where others were concerned it was getting dangerous. Too many rash choices on his part, didn’t seem the best of things. He had already done what he thought was best once, only to have it turn out to be the worst thing he could have done. Leaving Bella that time was the hardest thing he had ever done and perhaps selfish too but he had done what he thought best.
Just like now he knew what was best yet something had changed inside him with Renesmee. He should forgive and forget, take things as they were and live as a family no matter how awkward that would be. Yet for reason unknown to Edward, the forgiving and forgetting part was causing him sever problems. A small growl rose in his at the thought about Jacob. He wasn't sure if he could handle him anymore, now that he thought of it. He'd most likely lose his temper, just like he had before and that had caused more than enough damage.
However now thankfully he tried to think of something more cheery. Something less doom and gloom, which given his frame of mind wasn’t so easy as he had first thought. Edward had left a message at both the cottage and the Cullen house explaining both where he would be and he would be back sooner or later. Edward knew better than to just take off with out a word, even if it wasn’t so far he knew the problems it could cause. Sighing quietly he settled on his back into the grass once he reached the meadow, the sunshine feeling a nice change from the dull and rainy days. He was grateful that the meadow held some great memories. Images that were forever engrained into his mind like never fading photographs.
He was glad that few people knew of the meadow, it was a place so tranquil and quite and the scenery was breath taking. He lay there pulling the petals from a white jasmine flower he had found. His thoughts never staying on one thing for more than a few moments. Yet the peace of no other voices in his head apart from his own was a welcomed changed.

The sheets smell just like her… In Renesmee’s old room is where anyone could find Bella when she wasn’t out trying to get something of a lead. Careful to keep it all in tact Bella simply kneeled beside the bed. She felt so much closer to her daughter when she was in her room. The physical traces were everywhere, but it was only enough to keep her going until her next visit to the room.
Once done basking in the familiar scene of some of Renesmee’s brighter times here, Bella lifted herself off the floor and began aimlessly wandering the house. It was in this period of time that a note scripted with elegant hand writing she knew only to be Edward’s caught her unfocused gaze. She didn’t even it pick up to read it, there was no time for that. Once she had finished reading it Bella took off out the closest door of the house and towards the meadow that meat so much not only to her, but to Edward. Till then she really hadn’t noticed how little she had been with him. All this time comfort was right beside her but she had been too lost in sorrow to see it.
Just before hitting the edge of the clearing Bella dropped the invisible curtain the draped her thoughts so that Edward would be able to hear them. Mind if I join you? Shortly after Bella unfalteringly stepped into the sunlit clearing , and seeing Edward there washed away any and all displeasing feelings. For the first time in a while Bella felt like she was herself.

Thought not exactly warm, the sun felt nice on his skin as he lay there in the grass, thoughts drifting from one thing to another. The quiet of the meadow was welcomed compared to the chaos that was home. He missed his family more every day, and not having Renesmee around made life slightly less interesting as it once was. There were few people who he would give the world for, and one of those people had gone with out a trace. Every day was as much of a chore as the last and most days he wished that he had a tracking ability instead of mind reading. Although that had its advantages, right now when things really did matter there wasn’t any use for mind reading. Renesmee was somewhere with Jacob the last person Edward wanted her to be with and one he didn’t know where, and two he didn’t know what was going on.
Hearing Bella’s thoughts brought a smile to his face. He had always longed to hear what she thought and even though she could hide her thoughts from him, he didn’t mind. It was good to have some privacy. “Of course I don’t mind Bella, I would never mind” He said softly turning onto his side, he smiled towards her, propping himself up on his elbow. There wasn’t a moment in life that she ever failed to take his breath away. Every bad thought and worry he had melted away as if they were being washed away by the tide. It always amazed him how Bella had gone from slightly clumsy to graceful, he remembered the hospital trips with mixed feelings yet now he was happier knowing that Bella wouldn’t be anywhere near a hospital unless it was to do with Renesmee and even then it would most likely be Carlisle who looked after her.
With everything that had happened Edward suddenly realised just how much they hadn’t seen each other, it seemed like the smaller things in life had gotten in the way. “Is everything ok Bella?” For a moment he had a hoped that there was news on Renesmee, something more than they knew. Edward hadn’t been in Renesmee’s room, it hurt him too much to know that their little girl was gone. To know that only the faint smell of her was left there and not the real person. It broke his heart to know that she was gone, not going in there still gave him a false sense that she would walk through the door at any moment, back from school or anything. Anything that would mean she would be around the corner, not too far away from home and Bella and himself.

The question was of very simple terms, but the answer could never be that clean cut if put into words. So instead Bella just let her inner most feelings do the talking. Only then could Edward really get the whole story. She subtly wondered if all the negativity at once would hurt Edward. To make up for her mental rush of negativity she too laid out in the meadow at Edward’s side and tried her best to smile for him. After all she was not the only one who had lost Renesmee.
Using her peripherals Bella searched the meadow, each inch of it a reminder of how her life came to be everything she wanted it to be. Finally her sights fell on the golden eyes of her perfect husband. Once more words were useless; they always had been when it came to describing Edward. So once again she forced her mental shield to come down so that he could hear the silent but strong I love you…
((OOC: I am SO sorry this took so long and on top of that it's rubbish, but I will be on more and I will work on my writing I promise!!))

It went from the subtle silence to one voice, so negative in everything he had heard. He hadn’t quite expected that level of negativity, but then again talking about what happened that day with Nessie; it never really happened. Edward found it better to ignore the issue, make believe that every day she would come back. Yet with each passing day it became harder and harder to believe it. Until like now he couldn’t escape the more than real reality that their baby girl was gone. He smiled towards Bella as she laid out in the meadow, her smile always light up his life. Like a torch on a dark night, unforgettable in every way and a pleasant change from her negative thoughts that rushed around his head. He missed Renensmee more than anything, he knew Bella did too. It seemed as if a life time had passed since he had held both their daughter and his wife in his arms. He’d been the fool to assume that life would be perfect after things settled down.
Three words resounded in his head, words that he could never hear enough or say enough. Just three smile words had place a beaming smile on his face again, such simple things made him feel as if all that mattered was there and then. Bella was the only one who was keeping him sane, the one girl who mattered more to him than his own existence and the one who he had upset, walked away from and torn to pieces again and again. “I love you too Bella.” He said softly gazing at her, nothing had really changed from the first time they had been there in the meadow. It was like living on a cloud, finally having someone he loves know about what he was, and the fear coupled with it that one day it might all be taken away. She had the face of an angel and eyes that he never failed to get lost in. Eyes that could hold his attentions for years if it wasn’t for life’s little distractions.
“I’m so sorry Bella.” He began, “I miss her so much… I’ve missed you so much” Edward couldn’t say who he missed more, they had been so close and now they hadn’t spent more than a few moments together. He feared Bella would hate him for trying to kill Jacob, someone who he knew she cared about and in such causing Renensmee to leave. Yet some days it was the only thing he wanted to do. Now however, being there with Bella it meant more to him than any revenge or anger. It felt like normality again.
((OOC - Hey no worries about it, and its a great post! Your writting is brilliant, so no worries about it ))
