However due to his discovery of hair gel, Edward likes to spend some time making his hair into the spiky and often abomination that it is. His hair is thick and has some waves in it. Alice usually tries to attack his hair as apparently it doesn’t suit him however given his recent trip away Edward has had his hair cut shorter and well it is much similar to the way Bella first saw him.
Before Edward was a vampire he had bright green eyes that seemed to tell a lot about a person and their thoughts. Edward was good at reading people not only as a human but as a vampire However now with his current species, Edward has golden brown eyes, ones that can see deep into the hearts of others and can bore holes into people. Though his eyes do darken over time if he has not hunted but with Bella being human he hunts more often to keep he safe from himself.
It is Edward facial expressions that stand out most, his long nose, and high cheek bones give him to look of a god, or someone who spells money and class. Edward is charming, polite, determined, and very stubborn. Yes if there is ever an old lady who needs help crossing the road, Edward is you man... well vampire. His upbringing and Carlisle old ways have stuck with him and mainly for the better, however some of his ways are old school and are severely out dated. He easily dazzles human females and persuades them to do his bidding. Edward with one flash of that crooked smile can have anyone or anything he likes, often finding his looks cause humans to stumble and fall over themselves. Edward being the gentleman he is always puts Bella's safety, humanity and welfare before anything else in the world and goes to great lengths to protect her from what he sees as danger, and Bella sometimes does not. Edward tried to choose her friends fearing that they would hurt her and he became over protective and controlling. He often over-analyzes situations and has a tendency to overreact, especially in situations where Bella's safety is potentially at risk.
Where Bella comes into things his personality changed, from the brooding and cut off person the family had come to see what all Edward was ever going to be. Bella brought him to life, and made his actions irrational which is evident in his rash decision to disable her vehicle to prevent her from visiting Jacob Black. He retains some of the traditional mindset and outdated speech from his human life in the early 20th century. Edward second to Jasper probably has the most volatile temper in the family. Edward wanted to be a soldier and fight in WWI while he was growing up. That changed however, when he and his parents fell sick of the Spanish influenza in 1918. His father, Edward Masen Sr., died in the first wave of the influenza. Edward can hardly remember the man, however Carlisle has always told him of his fathers brilliance and personality that Edward share with him. Edwards mother Before she died, Elizabeth, asked the physician who was taking care of them, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, to do everything within his power to save her son. Carlisle acted on her wishes when Edward was near death himself. He took Edward from the hospital, brought him to his house and changed him into a vampire. Carlisle even had thought that Elizabeth knew of his being a Vampire and believed that this was the only way possible to save her son.
Edward had a rebellious period at the beginning of his vampire life and used his mind reading ability to attack the worst people of society. Edward hated Carlisle for a long while, as he considered himself a monster and that he had been tortured into a life of burning desires to harm and kill others. He later regretted this decision and returned to Carlisle's way of life in which animals' blood, not humans', is their source of sustenance . Over the next 80 to 90 years, additional vampires were created by Carlisle as a last resort for the nearly dead and left-for-dead and they became part of the Cullen family, known to vampires as a coven. Esme, a distraught, grieving mother of a dead child, became Carlisle's mate and Edward's adoptive mother who Edward would do anything for and he even considered asking her permission to kill Charles Everson however he was denied this small feat and by now Edward is sure that hateful man will be dead and gone. Rosalie Hale, a would-be socialite intended as Edward's mate, never became more to him than a sibling and someone who had the power to annoy Edward with more intent than the greatest of saints. Emmett Cullen became Edward's adoptive brother after Rosalie found him near death from a bear attack and fell in love with him. Already vampires, Jasper Hale and Alice Cullen sought out and found the Cullens and adopted themselves into the family.

However, after sneaking into her room one night to watch her sleep, she says his name and he realizes that he is in love with her. Over the next few weeks, he starts to pursue her and after one night together in Port Angeles, he discovers that she knows what he is and that she has fallen in love with him too. The two then form a rather emotional relationship, unlike Rosalie and Emmett's. After a while, Edward invites Bella over to his house to meet his family, who with the exception of Rosalie, immediately take a great liking to Bella.
Alice, Edward's sister, invites them both to come play baseball later. Edward takes Bella to the field, but some unexpected guests show up: James, Laurent, and Victoria. James catches her scent and decides to hunt Bella for sport, as tracking was his obsession. After some thoughts from Bella, Alice, and Emmett, Edward allows them to try to use Bella's plan: Bella convinces Charlie that she is leaving town, and Alice and Jasper take her to hide in Phoenix. Edward tries to lead James away, but loses his trail. He then flies to Phoenix to see Bella and finds James, who has trapped Bella and bitten her hand. Edward's family arrive and destroy James, while Edward sucks the venom out of Bella's system to prevent her from becoming a vampire herself. After they return to Forks, Edward takes Bella to their prom, much to her dismay. He resolves that he isn't going to change her into a vampire, but she is adamant that the discussion isn't over.
Edward then leaves for the greater good of Bella, leaving her heart broken and of course with Jacob there to pick up the peaces. Upon his return saved by Bella and Alice Victoria returns with a new born army and tries to kill Bella. All is stopped and life went on. Edward didn’t know what to do or even say, the family was back in Forks because of his obsession with Bella Swan and now Bella was having a child, and was with Jacob. He felt like his whole world had just about shattered around him. He was stupid to think that things could be the same when he came back, three years he had deluded himself to thinking Bella would be safer with out him there, and have a better life. Now all he wanted was Bella to be back home with him, where in his mind she belonged. After seeing Bella he had ran, ran as far and as fast as he could before he stopped for a meal. He had reached Canada at one point before he made the U turn back home.
It was nearly morning as Edward emerged from the tree line towards the house. His whole life hanging in shreds around him, and the only person he had to blame was himself. Edward was the one who had caused this, he had made the family leave and now he brought them all back to see that everything he loved was happy with out him, and probably a hell of a lot safer.
