Jake padded through the trees in his wolf form. his thoughts were preoccupied as always with thoughts about Nessy. he was on his way to go see her now actually.
Leah was out running a patrol with Seth at this time as well, but they were making every effort to block out Jacob's thoughts. Leah especially. all of Jacob's pack were thoroughly sick of hearing Jake think about Nessy and they'd taken to tuning his thoughts out. Jake didn't mind. he liked his privacy anyway.
Jake reached the boundary line and smiled, baring his fangs. every time he crossed the line he always felt a thrill of excitement. true he was allowed across now because of Nessy, but the old CROSS AND DIE! idea was still firmly imprinted in his mind.
Seth accidentally tuned in at Jacob's thought and sent him the mental equivalent of a grin. Leah being tuned in on Seth rolled her eyes as she caught the thought conversation.
Jacob smiled again and sent a mental wink at Seth, and a face at Leah. then his head jerked up. cautiously he sniffed the air and a low rumble escaped from his throat. but then it stopped and recognition set in. Jake transformed back into a human and got re-dressed as he waited for the approaching person to come into view.

It had been a stupid idea to come and walk through the woods, whether it was on a path or not. She had wanted to because she figured it was a nice day out and it wouldn't hurt. She had no clue how far from her house she was or where she even was! She couldn't see anything. Shaking the thought from her head, Peace held tightly onto her walking stick and continued to move slowly and carefully down what she thought was still the path in the woods. her chocolate brown hair hanging down and resting just past her shoulders.
As she continued to walk, she heard russling of leaves. At first, she figured it was just some little animal because it had stopped or that it was just the light breeze that blew. Then it happened again...and then again. It was like footsteps. And they seemed to be getting a little closer as she just stood there now. W-who goes there!? She said as she looked around, though, there was no point in doing that. Hello? Is someone there!? She said again. Now she was holding her walking stick up, as if she was going to use it to defend herself. Yes, she was a little jumpy.

Renesmee had found herself somewhere in the woods under a large oak tree. A small wind blew though the cover of the tree tops, ruffling the leaves with a slight ease over the echoing chirps of birds playing a song. She looked around her, wondering where she could be when a familiar scent appeared around her. Even though Renesmee was only half vampire, she could still tell the difference between vampires, werewolves, and humans.
She peaked from behind the tree she was hiding behind and took a glance at the russet fur-colored wolf with a smile. She turned her head back in front of her as the wolf began to change and get into clothing. It was Jacob, her best friend. There was something about Jacob that was so heart warming, like she needed him. After he changed and got dressed Renesmee spread out her feet and shifted her weight, ready to jump out when another scent filled the air.
This time it was human. Renesmee peaked around the bark to see her with a stick in her hand, as if to defend herself. The lady had a distanced space in her eyes, like she wasn’t looking at anything. This made Renesmee ask herself why. She seemed to be blind if Renesmee could tell so, but she wasn’t sure. Renesmee finally couldn’t take it anymore, she jumped out right behind the girl and stared right at Jacob, making her fingers into claws as she let out a hiss.
”Boo!” Her high pitched, child toned voice shouted, echoing through the forest.

Demi was on her way towards forks, she lived in seattle so she had quite a ways to go even in wolf form but she didn't really care she loved the freedom she had when she was a wolf. It was even better when no was there to read your thoughts either, at the moment she was the only who has phased but the rest of her pack knows that she usually goes back and forth between seattle and forks, well since the cullens asked for more help with volturi that is. She still doesn't really know her way around the forest in forks yet so she thought when she caught the sent of a vampire or other shifter that she was usually pretty close to where she wanted to be.
After a while she caught sent of a few things, First was a shape shifter which she assumed was Jacob or something from his pack, a Human which kind of made her confused unless it was someone hunting and then a light very light scent of a vampire which she knew was Nessie. She stopped dead in her tracks to phase back to human and changed, for her that was the only down side. She quickly got changed into her plaid shirt and short jean shorts, but she was barefoot. Demi preferred it that way thought it just felt more natural to her.
A loud childs voice echoed in her ears as she heard the young the girl from a distance but still somewhat close. She broke into a light jog she would probably get there quicker that way. She had a couple of trees and bushes to go through until she saw the little girl and some one else. She turned a bit to see jacob, okay everyone was here but the human girl was still unknown. She tilted her head slightly at the girl trying to figure out how she got all the way out here in the woods. She didn't really know what to way to the girl, she looked at the girl for a moment longer and realized that she didn't really know what she was staring at. The girl must be blind or something to that extent. "Sorry we didn't mean to scare you" She said looking at Nessie for a few minutes and then looked behind her to Jacob.

Jake stared in disbelief as a shaky girls voice came drifting through the trees.
how the hell did i miss her scent? he thought in confusion to himself. curious he padded forward, using the trees for cover. when he saw the blind girl madly swinging her cane around in front of her he bit his lip. now he was going to have to save her and take her back to civilization. that meant he wouldn't get to see Nessie yet.
Jake stepped out from behind the tree and went to speak to the girl. but just as he did so Nessie dropped from the trees and yelled Boo behind the girl.
Jake internally face palmed. only a few seconds ago he had been exulted at smelling her scent on the wind, ecstatic that she was coming to meet him. yet in those few seconds he had forgotten all about her.
Jake went to speak again, this time to console the blind girl. but yet again he was cut off. this time by another girl coming out of the woods.
Demi..? he thought in yet more confusion. Jake shook his head and stepped forward. time to take charge and get out of here before anything else weird happened.
"sorry, my little sister here is a tad excitable." he lied, flashing Nessie a grin.
"my sisters and i were just on our way back from a picnic we were having. would you like to join us? it's dangerous out here by yourself." He said warmly, slinging Nessie up onto his shoulders.

Peace heard the high, child's voice and jumped. A small scream escaped her lips and she could feel her heart racing in her chest as she stood there and continued to hold her walking stick tightly in her hands. This had been a bad idea and she now wished she was back in her house, safe in her living room just relaxing instead of trying to figure out where she was and where all these people where coming from.
"Sorry we didn't mean to scare you"
Peace turned her head in the general direction of the voice she heard, a different one now, and let out the breath she had been holding in. God...I feel like I just had a heart attack. She said, her hand resting on the tree that was next to her as she took several deep breaths. Her walking stick moved, resting on the ground as she continued to hold it and just stand there.
"sorry, my little sister here is a tad excitable."
"my sisters and i were just on our way back from a picnic we were having. would you like to join us? it's dangerous out here by yourself."
Oh, it's fine. I'm not usually this jumpy. She said in a soft tone. Brushing a strand of hair out of her face, she let her hand rest against the tree once more. When he asked her if she wanted to join them, she gentlybit her lower lip, shaking her head a little. I don't want to intrude. I'll be fine. My house isn't too far away. She said thought she wasn't entirely sure how far away or close her house was.

Renesmee giggled, jumped, and clapped as Jacob made eye contact with her. She was laughing when she ran to him and wrapped her tiny arms around his legs as he spoke to the girl in front of them. She let go and faced her also, looking up to Jake with a slightly puzzled look.
Sorry, we didn’t mean to scar you. Another voice chimed in, it was Demi. Renesmee looked at her and waved to her, sending a smile toward her. The blind girl looked scared, why was she scared? Renesmee smiled back to Jacob as he flashed her a bright smile. Renesmee then looked back down, her curls bouncing with each twitch of her head. She watched the girl as Jacob said they were having a picnic.
”We’re gonna have a picnic, Jakey?” Renesmee asked excitingly, smiling up at Jacob for a moment. As Jacob picked her up onto her shoulders Renesmee laughed and let him pick her up. I don't want to intrude. I'll be fine. My house isn't too far away. Renesmee put her hands into Jacob’s head and played with his hair, putting her chin down onto his head lightly.
”Please stay?” She asked her, Renesmee liked it when new people came. It was always fun to meet new people.

A small appeared on Demi's face "Sorry" she said as she took a step further towards the girl. She leaned against the tree closest to her and started to twirl a few strands of hair. When she heard Jacob come a small sigh of relief leaked out. She was kind of lost for words so it was really nice to hear his voice. When he brought up something about a picnic she gave him a confused glance. A picnic? Really?" she thought and wondered what he would have to back up the picnic thing.
She looked over at the girl, and walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder "Yeah you should join it will be fun" she said enthusiastically and with a big smile on her face. Which might have been kind of pointless since the girl was blind but at least she could hear the tone of her voice. She turned her attention back Nessie and Jacob and left the girl and walked over to them. She looked at him Do you even have anything for a picnic?" she asked quietly not meant for the other girl hear.

Jacob smiled at Demi when she asked about his picnic idea and winked, lowering Nessie back down to the ground before striding forward to seat the blind girl down on a fallen tree.
"you lovely ladies take a seat and get yourselves comfy, i'll just go move the picnic stuff over here." he grinned and strutted off into the trees, pulling his shirt off as he did so.
a picnic with Nessie.... why hadn't i thought of this before! Jake thought rolling his eyes as he stripped and tied his clothes to his ankle.
now out of ear shot of the girl he transformed into his wolfy self and sped off through the trees towards his house to stock up on food and grab a blanket or something.

less than two minutes later Jacob dashed into his house and frantically rummaged around for anything that wasn't moldy, which there was a surprisingly large amount of considering how many wolves constantly raid his fridge. it was actually surprising there was anything in it at all.
triumphantly he emerged with a small armful of food. hurriedly he chucked it into a plastic box and threw it into a bag which he had modified to fit his wolf form.
as he ran back out the door he grabbed the throw blanket on the sofa and chucked it in the bag too.

Jake strutted back into the grove where he had left the girls not five minutes ago with the bag slung over his shoulder.
"here we go!" he said cheerily and whipped the blanket out the bag to spread it on the ground.
under his breath he muttered so that the blind girl couldn't here but Demi could.
"you wouldn't of been doubting me would you?" he questioned jokingly and grinned.

Staying? That was the last thing on her mind. Not that they didn't seem nice or anything, she just didn't want to intrude on them. Not only that, she felt so awkward in a group of people that already knew one another. She had no clue what to say or even do. AND she wasn't even hungry. I..I really don't know. I should head home and...you guys already had plans and I don't want to be a burdon. Peace said as she just stood there. It wasn't long before she felt someone lead her over to a fallen tree and she sat down. Letting a small sigh escape her lips, she just sat there.

Brushing several strands of her chocolate brown hair behind her ear, Peace moved her gaze towards the ground and let another small sigh escape her lips. She let her hands rest on her walking stick and just sat there, gently biting her lower lip as she waited for him to return. It hadn't been much later when she heard him come back. Peace didn't move from her seat, she just sat there quietly and listened to everything around her.

Renesmee sighed as Jacob lowered her onto the floor but quickly was happy again as he went off to get picnic stuff, Renesmee had never been to a picnic before. She turned as Jake helped the blind girl onto the log and disappeared into the trees. Renesmee ran over to the log next to the girl and smiled up at her, knowing that she probably wouldn’t be able to see her.
”I’m Renesmee…but everyone calls me Nessie.” Renesmee introduced herself as she moved her legs so that they were bouncing off the log with every swing of them. She looked over to Demi before continuing. ”Whats your name?” She asked, placing her arms at her side onto the log as the sun flashed over the horizon. Soon after, Jacob was back. Renesmee smiled and watched Jake put down the blanket, pushing herself from the log to see what it looked like. She stood next to Jake, looking down at the blanket.
”Yay! Thank you Jakey!” She cried happily.

Jake ruffled Nessie's hair with a smile.
"your welcome little missy." he said in a horrible imitation of Charlie. then laughed.
Jake went over and helped the blind girl up.
"why don't you came sit down with the rest of us. we have grapes, bananas, sandwiches.. although i'm not sure what's on them, drinks and several bags of chips. take your pick." he said kindly with a smile.
Jake sat the girl down and took a seat next to her, unloading the bag out onto the blanket. he patted the space next to him for Nessie to sit down and jerked his head at Demi.
"come on you two. or i will of eaten everything before you get here. he grinned. they both knew he could easily pull his threat off.

It was an odd name....well, different anyways. Brushing a small lock of hair out of her face, she let her hand rest down by her side once again as she waited. It was then when she heard the males voice again and she lifted her head.

Leah and Seth had been running patrol but after a quiet run with nothing to report Leah had started to run the forest. It had been awhile since she had truely just been a wolf and was surprised how much she actually missed it. She had never loved being a wolf, after all the pain it had brought her. Now in this moment she found for the first time just how much it had become a part of her.
She was surprised how much she had let go of the world and only been listening to her paw falls and heart beat when another sound interrupted her world. She stopped as suddenly as she had started and listened. She calmed the nerves that had risen at the possibility of danger when she realized who it was Jake and his little girl, Renesmee. As much as Leah acted as though she despised all the vampires, she couldn't help but admit that Renesmee was a diamond in the rough. No pun intended.
But amist the familular scents there was another. An unfamilular human and werewolf.
Ditching the wolf form Leah transformed into a beautiful young girl. Donning a tank top and shorts she walked carefully into the clearing on barefoot. |
