She's caring and loves spending time with children (helping by how much time Quil spent with her as a child) which lead her to want to be a teacher for elementary school children. Claire is young at heart which reflects in how she acts around friends and loved ones. She likes to make people laugh and to be made laugh which isn't too hard.
She's rarely ever upset and when she is, it doesn't take much to cheer her up. She doesn't like to see people hurt or upset so will go out of her way to help them solve their problems and make them feel better. Claire Evelyn Young was born on a rainy eve on the eleventh February, 1991 in a neighbouring reservation at Strawberry Bay to Vincent and Hannah Young; a miracle to them as they'd been trying for a child for over three years. They spoiled the little girl like she was a princess, even though they were having a tough time with money.
When Claire was two years old, Hannah took Claire to visit her sister, Emily, at La Push Reservation where she was living with her fiancée Sam. Quil who had recently joined the pack saw Claire and immediately imprinted on her. Claire didn't know what it meant at the time but she knew it would change her life forever. For the next few years, she rarely left Quil's side.
Her parents saw how happy it made her to be with him, so they brought a house at La Push and moved there. Glad to be near Quil, the smile crowned her lips and never moved. She was enrolled in the local elementary school and was often picked up by Quil on the way back from school. They'd spend the evenings together. He'd help her with her homework and then they'd play dolls, tea parties and later, painting, drawing and sports when she was old enough.
When Claire turned thirteen, she went to her Aunts and Uncles. It was there that Sam explained that Quil had imprinted on Claire and explained that he would always be there for her no matter what. Claire understood and was slightly nerved but she loved her Quil-Quil, so put that he was a shape-shifter past it.
At the age of fifteen, she became romantically involved with Quil though it went no further than making out. Claire put time aside so that she could concentrate on her studying whilst still spending the majority of the time with Quil; often spending time at his house or at her house with him, often sleeping around. She passed her High School with flying colours and quickly applied to college, hoping of following her dream of becoming a teacher. Currently she's a student at a nearby College that isn't too far away from La Push.

The black rain clouds seemed to roll in ever so slowly as the gentle breeze blew them across the sky. Claire hadn't been out of the house recently and decided that it was time to break the habit; she didn't want to become a hermit crab after all.
Claire pulled on her thickest coat and topped it with a scarf and hat before leaving the house; the door locking automatically behind her. A small smile that never seemed to move crowned her lips, the chocolate brown hair that wasn't topped by the hat billowed around her face as the wind blew.
She didn't watch where she was going, she just watched the clouds roll on by as though fascinated by their beauty. One thing she loved about being outside was nature; she was a nature fanatic. Claire wet her lips with her tongue as they'd become dry as she felt the sand crunch beneath her feet. The memories came flooding back.
Claire's favourite memory must have been when Quil brought her to the beach when she was three and she buried him in the sand. She'd laughed and he'd laughed. Claire hadn't known at the time that he was the one for her; the soon to be love of her life.
A sigh escaped her lips as she thought about Quil. She hadn't seen him recently and it was worrying her; they never went more than a few days without speaking.
Claire removed her shoes and socks even though the sand was unbelievably cold. Making her way to the sea, she smiled as the waves lapped the shore in an almost tranquil motion. As the wave moved up the beach, Claire moved her foot forward a little and let the wave brush against her foot.
Claire almost became entranced by the movements of the wave as it continuously rolled backwards and forwards, never choosing a different path. She personally would have hated to be a wave; never having much choice what to do in life; she enjoyed adventure and travelling but she didn’t travel a lot because she didn’t want to leave Quil.
